Carpet Right

10th July 2009 we went looking for two double beds (nearly£1000 which we paid for on our debit card full price). We end up buying them from Carpetright - The Bed Store. We were originally told that delivery would be three weeks! What a joke that was. Week 3 I phone and was told that I had been misled by the assitant, who was no longer working for the company, and that delivery would been at least 4 weeks. Wk 4 I phone again and was told that the assitant that had told me 4weeks for delivery,e had been moved to another shop and that they were missing half of the bas from one of the beds. We ordered our carpet on 13th april and had it laid on the 21st April. Order no was 0314111005890. The customer service has a lot to be desired at Carpetright,after buying a £1ooo worth of carpets and being told fitting would be no problem because we had several rooms to clear that the fitters would work round us,we were messed about from day one,not down to the fitters I must add they did an excellent job,especially on the last room when Carpetright had cocked up and cut the carpet to short, we got told that they could piece it or they would replace it with a new piece of carpet which was fair enough,but hang on they then said it would take another 7 to10 days,and when you have lived upside down and have dismantled beds and bedroom furniture to have to wait another ...  Read the complete review

We are decorating and have been looking for some carpet. We are on a budget so need something that is good quality but a good price. Hum...not an easy task. We have trailed the length of Cardiff looking in all the carpet stores, including stores with large off cuts but nothing quite fitted what we wanted. We found Carpet Right on Newport Road quite early on in our search and we were fairly impressed but they didn't have quite what we wanted. The carpets at the cheaper end were very thin and not the best quality. Many of them looked as though they were for offices as they were very thin and not very homely. Carpet Right in Guildford have provided appalling customer service. It started a few months ago now when we went into the store and found that they were discontinuing solid wood flooring. They were offering their outstanding stock at a very good price so we went for it. They booked a chap to come around and survey the floor which seemed like a great service as they weren't going to fit it. He duly turned up and wandered around measuring, however, he didn't one lift the carpet and stated that it would be concrete and fine to lay the floor on, he then left saying that the store would contact us to confirm pricing.
