Carpet Right makes mistakes and walks away.

If you enjoy being treated extremely badly, shouted at and having the phone hung up on you, give Carpet Right a go.

We ordered two types of carpet from Carpet Right for fitting before Christmas. On the day of fitting Carpet Right had made the stupid mistake of cutting one of the carpets to fit the wrong area. So they could only complete half of the job.

So far, Carpet Right cannot confirm when they will complete the job and we are left with a house that is in a mess and virtually uninhabitable – with no sign of this improving before Christmas.

You might expect Carpet Right’s customer service team to respond warmly. Instead they merely exacerbated the problem. Carpet Right refused to offer any compensation in any circumstances because it is allowed to do this by law. When I politely queried this policy they resorted to shouting at me and hung up on me three times.

Consequently Carpet Right is able to make simple, stupid mistakes that have far reaching consequences for its inconvenienced customers – but it does not have to do anything about it – financially or otherwise. At the very least an apology and some sympathy would have been nice.

Carpet Right is probably the worst high street brand I have ever encountered (with the exception of Hertz!).
