Advantages: Cheap carpets

Disadvantages: Very expensive accessories

After taking the time to visit various stores selling carpets and deciding on which one we wanted,we eventually decided on a carpet sold by Carpetright.
The show rooms at Carpetright are (the ones we have visited anyhow)always look inviting and well presented.Salesmen friendly and not pushy.
So we have chosen a carpet what next...we sat down with the salesman who promptly worked out the cost for our lounge which is 5m long by 4m wide..easy i thought 20 sq.m of carpet,so if with discount the carpet was £10.75 per sq.m then the cost would be £215.00..so far so good.
Then what about the accessories?
We wanted a good underlay as we wanted the lounge to feel nice when walked upon..so we need 20 sq.m of underlay then...eeekkk...£199.80!!!But the carpets only £15.00 more...Then you will need gripper also says the salesman...£39.00 please...then delivery £20.00...then fitting £40.00...then doorplates x 2 £12.00 totalling £525 quid for a £215.00 carpet!!!
So after coming away to have a think about it went onto the internet and see if i could save a few quid..
search for carpet underlay on the internet i thought..
gotta be said i am totally shocked and amazed...i have saved myself over £100!!..got a better carpet underlay than Carpetright were offering and yes saved over £100 quid for one room which has paid for the decorating!!...what if i had wanted a full house doing?
How much of a saving then?
