We ordered our carpet on 13th april and had it laid on the 21st April. Order no was 0314111005890.
We bought a oasis berber. 2wks after i noticed that there was a patch in front of the settee, it looks like a dirty patch, on looking closer it was the pile flattening, we bought a new hoover as we thought that our old one was not picking up the pile, it was not any better, so we went to the store, a man came round and said it fair wear, well in my mind fair wear would not be after weeks it would be after years, our old carpet was 10yrs old and did not go like that, we realize it was not an expensive carpet, but our last one was not either, our carpet on the stairs is about 20yrs old and in better condition
I read the back of my receipt and they are covering themselves as they say areas in front on seats is prone to flattening and patchy colour and a lined effect, well I think they have put this because they are getting loads of complaints about these types of carpet. Our carpet is now 4mths old and looks awful the patch is even worse and it looks like an old dirty carpet, I am wondering how long it will last.I have now lost faith in carpet right i will never go there again and would never recommend anyone to go there.
We are now in a position that we cannot buy another carpet as we have spend the money on a lemon, my husband is an ill man and therefore does not work, and this was money that we had managed to save up for the carpet, it will be a while before we can save for another one. I think that the information about these types of carpets should be displayed on the rolls in the shop, then how many would be sold. The ordering and fitting was fine but the carpet itself is absolute rubbish, real shame because we thought that it looked really nice, but it will only stay looking nice if you do not sit on your settee! Well I have had my rant and rave, maybe I could get Dom Littlewood on the case for me next, he is always saying quote the sale of goods act, well we did but it never got us anywhere.
