Dont buy beds from Carpetright (Carpet Right)

10th July 2009 we went looking for two double beds (nearly£1000 which we paid for on our debit card full price). We end up buying them from Carpetright - The Bed Store. We were originally told that delivery would be three weeks! What a joke that was. Week 3 I phone and was told that I had been misled by the assitant, who was no longer working for the company, and that delivery would been at least 4 weeks. Wk 4 I phone again and was told that the assitant that had told me 4weeks for delivery,e had been moved to another shop and that they were missing half of the bas from one of the beds. Week 5 I phoned again and was told that it was not the base that was missing but the mattress and that It would be probably week 6 before they could despatch the beds. Week 6 came and went and nothing!! Thursday of week 6 I phoned the store again and the assitant told me that they were stillhaving trouble locating the mattress in the warehouse. Nobody thought about getting another matteress from the suppliers - to simple. He called me Friday week 6 and said that everything was together and that the delivery people would phone me Monday to organise delivery of both beds. Monday came and went so I phoned the shop again and was promised faithfully that the beds would be delivered this week (wk7). Tuesday no call - Wed no call - Thursday no call, so I phoned the shop again! The assitant called me back and told me that delivery would not be this week and that he was sorry but the mattress was missing again!! I could have the one bed delivered next week (wk8) but he hadnt got a clue when I could have the other one. During thid time I have written to the company complaining of the service and the amount of WAFFLE that was in the reply I could have fed the third world with for breakfast. I finnally had someone phone from customer service and I said I wanted my money back. There was no apology or asking why or even a sorry. Its going to be two weeks to get our money back so we have to wait now till end September for new beds. In Ireland this company is know as CARPETSHITE and I couldnot find a better name for them. Stay away from CARPETRIGHT if you want a good service nd quick delivery.

Summary: Would not shop there again!
