We are decorating and have been looking for some carpet. We are on a budget so need something that is good quality but a good price. Hum...not an easy task. We have trailed the length of Cardiff looking in all the carpet stores, including stores with large off cuts but nothing quite fitted what we wanted. We found Carpet Right on ...

Carpet Right in Guildford have provided appalling customer service. It started a few months ago now when we went into the store and found that they were discontinuing solid wood flooring. They were offering their outstanding stock at a very good price so we went for it. They booked a chap to come around and survey the floor ...

The last time I went to a Carpet Right shop was just 4 months ago in Jan. I wanted to get a new carpet for my bedroom and came to the branch in Manchester. I was delighted with the parking space available for customers right outside. On the way inside here I was greeted by one worker near the door. Why he was near the door greeting customers I had ...

Stay away!!! I wanted a new carpet for my entire flat, but only needed a bedroom first, I was told if I wanted the same matching carpet throughout I would have to buy the whole flat at the same time. I explained I was no where near ready for the rest, as I had not started to decorate and could be months/years before I was ready for it, ...

I bought carpet from House of Fraser and it was only 7 weeks later when the fitters finally arrived that they told me that Carpetright owned the carpet franchise for House of Fraser. I would never have touched them had I known this. I was promised delivery in 10-14days. HO HO. They sent 2 guys who were incompetent to do 2 bedrooms and then 3 weeks later 1 guy on his own (who arrived 1.5hrs late and then spent 1/2hr on his mobile) to do the lounge and hall (carpet measured 7m x 5m!). Clearly an impossible task (they knew I was in a 2nd floor flat as their manager had come round to estimate for fitting), the guy then phoned for backup which arrived an hour later. They still managed to do a 2nd rate job.

I bought a carpet from carpet right last year. The reason I choose carpet right was because there was loads of choice and they were helpful. I went into carpet right and explained that I wanted the stairs carpeted and I had no idea how to measure it etc. Firstly, I chose a carpet I liked there were a lot to choose from including very ...

In Feb'09 I carpeted my 2 bed flat with CarpetRight (New Malden Branch) and am overall impressed with them. On my first visit to the store I was assisted in choosing carpet by a member of their team. I have to say that, despite working in a carpet shop, they were not particularly helpful in terms of the basics of carpets. I rather ...

This is the only place i have ever brought my carpets from. Although i have a choice of three in my local area i always tend to go to the one in Norwich. There are certain times in the year that i always plan to buy my carpets and this is because they have good sale prices. These are the bank holidays in may. Even without the sales they tend to ...

Absolutely appalling service, one if not THE WORST I ever received in my entire shopping life. I went into the Carpet Right Brixton branch in london because of its convenient location (it is close to where i live) and I must admit it was a HUGE mistake not having done my home work before hand. Well, the cut a long story short I bought ...

Carpet right had one of their huge sales on a few months back so off me and the good lady wife went to see if we could find a cheap but decent carpet for the little ones room because his carpet he has just now is a bit worn and nearly four years old (older than he is)! On entering the store we were greeted by a young chap who seemed very pleasant ...

Carpets are potentially one of the most boring products to grace our good Earth. However, after a recent incident at my house where a radiator sprung a leak and decided to ruin the whole lower floor of our house we had only had for 2 months, new carpets soon became an issue at the forefront of my mind. Now ill be honest, I am not a leading expert ...

When arriving in the store, on the Botley road, Oxford, we were initially met by a very friendly junior staff member, however, we were passed over to a more senior member very quickly, who subjected us to horrific so called 'hard selling' techniques, and despite measuring accurately, insisted we buy another foot of lino just to make sure. I ...

Crawley branch is no better than any other then! Manager is a complete idiot thinking that his word comes above the Law, that is what he more or less told me. Told my parents he wouldn't replace a faulty rug because it had been in their house and health and safety laws said that it couldn't be returned. Then lied to me on the phone before I have even said anything other than that my elderly parents had been in earlier - a complete and utter s**t.
We will see what he has to say when the matter goes to Court as it most certainly will unless their Head Office sees sense and steps in.

Carpetright treat their staff no better than their customers.
Latest trick is rather than have a company announcement that administrators will not be required under 1 million pound stores they get the Regionall Managers to come round and tell administrators that their job title and contract is going to be changed to Sales Assistant which means, a demotion and a loss of earnings due to loss of audit bonus. Any administrators with something to say? Can you put rolls on/cut carpets ? Do you think that the Management and sales persons can actually carry out the administration that you currently do ? e.g banking, fitters bills, audit paperwork, filing, answering the phone, posting
etc... It aint gonna work Carpetright !!!! Customer services will suffer coz the rest of the staff cant hack it
