Having moved house we have had reason to change carpets in two rooms so far and we brought them in two separate transactions but both from Carpet Right in East Grinstead. The store itself is nicely laid out with a large open plan area showcasing all the carpet samples you can look and feel and then the other half showing all the ... Read the complete review

Ian Cook Is the customer services manager of Carpet Right Watford. He will treat you like a piece of shite and make you feel so small! Service is appalling, poor and pathetic even. Ian Cook does not give a damn about his customers yet he tells them that he is acting in their interests. We lost nearly £1,600= twice from fault specifically in discolouration and patches appearing in bedrooms and hallways as if worn out by alien invasion of some kind. Aweful it looks. We have no leg to stand on because Ian Cook made us sign for pile reversal and shading both of which defects in the original carpet were diabolically wrong. However we keep stating that the second time around defect is NOT that related to pile reversal and shading BUT ABNORMAL DIMUNITION IN TEXTURE!

currently taking there "professional fitters" to court to have the under floor heating replaced in the bathroom which they damaged when fitting the new carpet. Told me that I should have metioned it as it is in the small print. Yeah right let the courts decide

Staines
hopeless store, good product but very poor quality "couldnt care less" staff and, worse, cheeky chappy manager.
full of excuses about faulty product delivered to be fitted a day after it was due. No attempt to speed up a replacement product
would only buy on basis of cheap price from this shop, no clue about customer service.

I like many other people are disgusted with CarpetRight. Tottenham.
I bought a carpet a year and half ago, first carpet was faulty
and had to be changed,2ndcarpet to me was as bad had to have half the carpet on the stairs rechanged.
Here I am today havinging to go to another carpet company to replace my carpet and to make matters worse the whole of the underlay which when looking at it yesterday I might as well had newspaper on my stairs because thats how thin it was.
When I first rung to company I got told what do you expect...Now
what did I expect well to be treated better, not to be spoken to so rudely. At then end of the day it's now costing me another £325 to replace everything.
Not a happy person at this moment.

If only I had read these reviews before I went to Carpet Right in Penge.
They must have the worst customer service ever!!!
We had to wait a month for the carpet to be delivered, because it was out of stock. Only problem we were not told it was out of stock!!!
To top it all we complained to the regional manager, who still has not had the curtsey to reply to us.
We live and learn!!

Carpet right - a right rip off!
Please be careful, we purchased two carpets for two small rooms total £500 (seems ok) BUT the way the price was made up is not shown to you until after you pay!!
They charged £50 for gripping rods (which should cost £0.39 per 1.5 meters from my local shop) and they charged £100 for underlay which was really really thin so beware. Even the delivery man they contracted for us, said we had been ripped of; wish we had never gone to carpet right at all.
Very upset that the 60% sale just meant they put it on in other places with rip off accesories. Avoid carpet right at all costs

When we first moved to our house carpet right fitted all of my carpets for me. My living room is 22foot long by 12 foot wide, i had a short pile carpet with fleece backing from carpet right for £920 without fitting or grippers. My bedroom carpet was the same carpet just in a different colour which cost me £460 without fitting ... Read the complete review

We asked Carpet Right to carpet one of our rooms, After their rep had called to measure up and look at the floor, on the basis of their advice, we ordered and paid for a fitted carpet. But when their recommended fitters came to fit it they said that that type of carpet could not be fitted to our kind of floor. Despite it being their fault that ... Read the complete review

They could be awarded worst customer service! I'm having a big problems to arrange fitting of vinyl flooring in my bathroom. The first time they came around and said that the floorboards were not even and that had to be re-boarded. I appreciated that and had the job done. Now I'm having problems to re-book fitting. I thank you so much for all your comments... I shall certainly NOT be using this company to carpet my sons (oversized) room at his new uni residence. I went to the Carpet right store in South Ruislip to purchase carpet for our master bedroom, they sent a person to come to our home and do an estimate, that person added the cost for an Underlay even though one wasn't needed, which I found out later when the fitter arrived. Carpetright seem to make most of their money from the rip-off extras. A £25 delivery charge was added to my order, with the claim that the fitter would make contact after Carpetright had delivered. The invoice makes it very clear that you have a separate contract with a self-employed fitter, who you will pay in cash. When not delivered on time, I ... Read the complete review
