Walked through their North Sheilds store for 20 mins whilst the staff were drinking coffee at or around the front desk. Walked out of the store to find a carpet fitter who had had to wait 20 mins before he could pick up a piece of carpet for his own customer. After a quick chat he came round next day, measured our full house and quoted ... Read the complete review

Carpet Right Swindon, estimated 3 meters more carpet than I needed. Did not detail any measurements on their estimate and insisted I pay on estimate. The estimate omitted any details at all of the measurements, or how he came to his figure. When I later requested the measurements and queried them they became abusive. They refuse to amend their ... I paid £30 CASH (which was accepted willingly) for a small rug from Carpet Right in the Newbury store in Berkshire. When I got it home I discovered it was not quite what I wanted.... I returned to the store for a refund TWO DAYS LATER only to be told I could only have a credit note or an exchange!!!! I did not need either but was flatly ... Read the complete review

My girlfriend and I visited Carpet Wrong in Edmonton this week and after 15 minutes of walking around the shop being totally ignored by the three staff (we were the only customers) they decided it was time to close and locked us in. The manager (I assume as he was the one talking on the mobile phone the entire time we were in there) let us out ... Read the complete review

Carpet Right in Wisbech, Cambs are the worst offenders of bad customer service. They sell carpet and don't tell you about the underlay and gripper, they won't take responsibilities for their mistakes. They treat their fitters appallingly. they are rude to customers. They are so focussed on the profit margin that nothing else comes into ... Read the complete review

Ordered some carpet from Carpet Right as it was cheap and the carpet didn't have to last more than a couple of years. The problem as that I was moving and ordered it from the Bracknell branch but it was going to be estimated/fitted by Chichester Branch. After not hearing anything for a week phoned them up to see when they were going ... Read the complete review

We chose carpet right based solely on price. The team at the Sevenoaks branch were desperately trying to sell every carpet accessory known to mankind. Clearly this is where they make their money. We paid a 25% deposit to secure the carpet - no problem. Then they took full payment weeks in advance of the carpets being fitted, once the ... Read the complete review

Carpet Right is the place to go if you want cheap carpet and over priced underlay and gripper. When the carpet fitter arrived he wanted another £20 to fit the underlay and gripper I had purchased although he would have fitted underlay and carpet gripper supplied by carpet right for free. Carpet Right maintain the fitters are self-employed, ... Read the complete review

We bought a carpet from CR in Burgess Hill, W Sussex with no problem. They were helpful but no pressure selling. They did an accurate estimate of fitting costs - about 180 quid for most of a small semi - and sent a fitter round to measure up at a convenient time 2 days later. Carpet was fitted nicely before we moved in. Fitter was a bit lugubrious ... Read the complete review

Purchased carpet in June 2005 for my stairs. They were to fit and supply. I paid them cash and then paid the carpet fitter. He cut the carpet out on the street, thus by the time the carpet was fitted it looked dirty. Nevertheless, I was getting married in my house and so was happy to clean it after the wedding. However, the next day when I had a ... Read the complete review

Carpet Right makes mistakes and walks away. If you enjoy being treated extremely badly, shouted at and having the phone hung up on you, give Carpet Right a go. We ordered two types of carpet from Carpet Right for fitting before Christmas. On the day of fitting Carpet Right had made the stupid mistake of cutting one of the ... Read the complete review

When we went to view our new house the vendor informed us that their dog had recently had puppies, all together now, awwwww. Carpetright inspected, estimated, supplied and fitted carpet throughout our house. After only 11 months we started to find problems. I have had several carpets from Carpet Right in Tamworth. You can get some really good bargins if you go at the right time (Example I saved 70% when I purchased my lounge carpet in January) Underlay and grippers are a rip off from here.
