Cheaper than a new one and also environmentally beneficial (Cartridge World)

I would like to say my main reason for my first very recent visit to a Cartridge World store was the environment, but honestly it was the fact I was told they were cheaper than buying a new ink cartridge and it is nearly Christmas!!

It was only when I had a look on the website that I really saw the positive side to having your cartridge refilled rather than just buying a new one. There may be people thinking I am a bit naive not thinking about this before but for as long as I can remember I have sent off all my old cartridges to the RSPCA as they can get some money back for them - (after discovering this store I will now try to donate to them in other ways)

On the site it states that a cartridge in an land fill can take 450 years to decompose and that over 47 million cartridges go to UK landfill sites every year! So it saves you money and helps the environment. They have over 270 stores in the UK.

My experience

I went in with my HP 338 black cartridge which to buy new costs around £18 from where I would normally buy it from. I was told it would take around 10 minutes and I could wait or come back as it was very cold I waited. They had some comfortable chairs and some magazines/papers to have a flick through whilst it was getting done, as well as the fact that it was nice and warm inside.

It did take around 10 minutes and came out with a plastic clip over the part of the cartridge you are not meant to touch and in a Cartridge World box. It cost me £10. I was told any problems to come back and they would see what they could do, they also warned me not to worry if the ink levels on the pc did not change as sometimes the HP cartridges do not pick it up.

The only difference now, is instead of the HP stickers it has Cartridge World stickers on it. The quality of printing is as good as it was before and I have experienced no problems.

The person that told me about the store has also told me that they last longer than a new one as they fill them up to the highest level, so if that is accurate that is also a bonus!

Summary: Well worth looking into for anyone who needs to replace their ink cartridges soon
