Dingy stores offering nothing special (Cash Generator)

I've been into my local cash generator a few times and havent been too impressed. The only thing that I have bought was a DVD player that was only £5 because it didn't have a remote. I've found the store to be cluttered and pretty dingy. A lot of the goods such as TVs were available for only a slightly higher price new and with a full guarantee although I can see the appeal of being able to pay things up over a longer period of time. An example was nintendo DS games which were available for a couple of extra pounds at Game.
I did sell some goods at my local shop when I was moving house, I got a reasonable price for a musical instrument and unused portable CD player that was an unwanted gift but was insulted by the offer of a penny per music CD, especially when they were selling them for £2.99. I took them to the charity shop instead. The guys behind the counter didn't seem to like their boss much and I saw them advising customers where to get a better deal.
It's worth looking round cash generator if you are passing, but I wouldnt go out of my way to go to one.
