Advantages: Cheap DVD's / CD's games - sometimes can be quite new !

Disadvantages: 2nd hand electrical stuff - may be cheaper new elsewhere.

Cash Generator - my local one is based in Grays town centre is great to find a bargain. They sell second hand and new electrical goods which can be paid for instantly or over a period of time with a deposit. They sell computer games, DVD's and CD's as well. No item can be guaranteed as the stock changes daily and from outlet to outlet. Some things are an excellent bargain. CD's from £1, if there is anything you want to add to your IPod. Admittedly there is some rubbish there (5ive, Spice Girls, Steps etc) but you sometimes can find a bargain, especially in this age of digital music. DVD's are currently (Feb 09) £2.49 each or 2 for £4. They tend to have the same stuff there for a while (xXx, Calendar Girls, X Men, Star Wars Etc) Again here you will find some gems if you look.

The irritating thing about my local Cash Generator is that the DVD's are front facing so you flick through them, instead of all the titles facing you which would be much better, also would prevent as much damage to the sleeves. This is also the case with the CD's and computer games, so this takes twice as long to look for anything.

They have a cheque cashing service and bureau de change and check all items before sale. This doesn't apply to CD's, DVD's and games as I have had to take back several items several times as they have been unplayable. They have a 7 day return period on DVD's and games and a month on everything else.

I do sometimes question the people who are actually buying the things from the general public as discs can be scratched beyond any sort of repair. I also question, what do people do with their discs I have seen some that look like food is all over them !!
