Advantages: Large complex so you can shop, eat and watch a film!

Disadvantages: Can become very crowded.

Cheshire Oakes Designer Village , also called McArthur Glenn, is located just off the M53 and M56 junctions at Ellesmere Port in the North West of England. The village has now become more of a town in itself and boasts a wide range of shops selling designer names at discounted prices.

The village has numerous carparks, including several in the middle of the shopping village and an undercover car park to the side of the village, just a stones throw from the shops. There are several cafes, and a food hall which has a number of different places to eat, including pizza, pasta, McDonalds, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, and fish & chips etc. A couple of coffee shops also give you the opportunity to sit outside if the weater permits. There are also ample toilet facilities.

Designer labels are abundant at Cheshire Oakes and although mainly clothing stores with names such as Calvin Klein, Kurt Muller and Tommy Hillfiger, the village also has a range of household equipment shops and gift shops.

Head on past the village and you do come to a large sub village which contains many high street stores selling dvds, books, chemist items and has its own multiplex cinema and restaurants. So shop all day and relax at night with a good film, meal and a nice bottle of wine. Perfect for a day out, wether you live nearby or are visiting the area on a break.
