The Cheshire Oaks Designer Village is the most fantastic place for the quality bargain hunter. There are so many well known and respected high street names such as Gap, Next, Principals, Moss Bross, Nike, Mexx , and many more specialist outlets such as Vans, Timberland, and Karrimor. As well as the fashion shops there are also household names such as Denby Pottery( selling seconds and perfects ), a Birthdays card shop, Salisburys luggage shop.

Since the expansion a couple of years ago it now takes an age to look at all the shops. A whole day is not too long to dedicate to the village, especially if you have travelled some distance. Bargains are everywhere, however sometimes I seem to hit on loads of bargains and other times nothing that special.

There are several food outlets and cafes which are all definitely not at bargain prices. There is a MacDonald which always looks to be heathing with people.

Car parking is free, but at closing time, especially on Sundays there is a kind of mass exodus and you can have a long wait to get clear of the village. A Sainsburys on an adjacent plot always adds to the congestion when it shuts early on a Sunday as well.

If you hate crowds and get clostraphobic I would avoid the place at weekends, it is just packed with people everywhere, all armed with handfuls of bags.
