We all know that being a parent at some time you will have to do a children's party of some sort, this can be an absolute nightmare! When our daughter was 5 my wife was due to give birth to our son we decided to give her a big party. When her birthday came around my wife was due to pop as it was her last birthday before the imminent arrival we decided to make a real fuss of her and make it a big one. I was reading an article last week about how parents seem to be going over the top with children's parties and on average spending between £200-£300 on children as young as three. In the article it was explaining that some parents go without food and clothes to give their children what they want for that special day of the year. In my opinion that is absolutely ridiculous and feel that if parents are already giving their children everything they want at that age, then I am pretty sure that they will come to expect bigger and better things every year so the parent will surely end up being stressed and miserable. There is nothing better and more thrilling than throwing a party for the children. I love to attend the parties aswell as organise them. If your organising them, you need to be careful not to over-do it. When i went to my nephews 6th birthday party a few weeks back i noticed my sister went for a bouncy castle along with a clown 'Kenzo the clown' and a few Magicians. All this clashed together. The kids don't know which to focus on and they loose interest and their attention turns to beating each other up and not enjoying their day. So keep it simple a bouncy castle will do you.
