Why does anyone bother having parties at home anymore. We booked a party for our 5 year old ( sixth birthday party) at the local Mcdonalds, having previuosly had the party at home.

God why did we wait so long. It was only £7 a head, the kids were fed, entertained and amused.

There was no clearing up they even provided invites, a cake and party bags. All we had to do was mill around while the kids ran riot, obviously having a great time.

At the and of the party we just collected up all the presents, chucked them in the car and went home.

It couldnt be simpler. Why did we ever have them at home, the broken lampshade, the tears as they fell in the garden, the mud on the carpet etc.

The food was excellent for kids, the service was really good too, with a McDonalds person present throughout the party to look after our needs.

Call me lazy if you wish but I know where we will be next year.

Out of interest, how many people do you invite? My parties when I was younger was usually most of my class & family - so altogether about 30 people which would cost 210 pounds! Great idea but this would be too much for me to afford.
