Advantages: Cards for all occasions

Clinton cards is the biggest name in card retailing on the high street and you will probably find one in every town. They have hundreds of cards and you will probably find one for every occasion.
In the stores cards tend to be grouped for ease of location but I still find you have to wander around the shop a bit until you find what you are looking for. They usually have a good selection. However if you go at Chrsitmas looking for a birthday card as I once did you may find you choice becomes more restricted as they dedicate so much of their shop to festive merchandise.
They also sell a wide range of wrapping paper and boxes. There are also lots of gifts such as little cuddly toys and mugs. They also sell stamps and a large range of calendars.
My main problem with Clintons is the price of the cards. Many of the cards cost £2 or more. In the supermarket these days you can get nice value cards for under £1 and I don't think people think any less of you. When I had a baby recently we were swamped with cards and I couldn't tell the difference between the card that cost £1 and the one that cost £2.50.

I think it might be worth going there for a special card or when you really can't find what you are looking for but be prepared to pay.
