Advantages: In town centre
Disadvantages: Expensive, RUDE checkout girl
Now I wouldn't like to tar all Co-ops with the same brush, nor all checkout girls, 95% of the checkout girls (and boys) in supermarkets are pleasant and charming. But My wife went into Co=op Pioneer's in Castleford last week for one item; she didn't need more this particular day (it was lunch time so no queues for a change), so going to a checkout where an assistant had just finishing off serving a customer she placed her Gold Blend on the belt. FIVE MINUTES later when the assistant had told the customer in front about the two week caravan trip she had just come back from (it was her mother's caravan - at Scarborough. The weather was nice. A bit changeable but OK on the whole), Oh and the trip she was going to take to Spain shortly. Did you know that if you take the ferry to France, it takes 18 hours if you drive straight to Loret De Mar (or sommat!) and After many sighs and tuts from my wife and looking at her watch, the assistant *finally* gets round to serving her. Then to add insult to injury she didn't look my wife in the eye once, she PLONKED the change down into her palm extremely rudely (this was without a single word through the whole transaction you understand.) Doesn't make for very good customer service does it. My wife complained and good on her I say. We don't go out and work 48 hours a a week to give our money to a supermarket who employs girls who no less than INSULT their customers. I wouldn't recomend this store.
