CeX (Computer Exchange)

Description: Chain of computer software and video game stores

Now, I have never sold anything to CEX, various reasons for this, the first being that I have picked up some okay things for a pittance and I don't like the idea of paying for something new and then getting a stupidly small amount of ... more

Premium Review CeX (Computer Exchange): Ideal for Buyers (923 words)

I came across this store while looking for something cheap and cheerful to do on a weekend. Gone are the days where I can justify going to the pub and blowing a whole heap of money, gone are the days where going to the cinema and spending £6.50 per ticket, then food, and walking away £30 down are acceptable. Instead recently I have been going down to CEX about twice a week and scowering through things that I can pick up on the cheap. I love watching movies but we also have a Playstation 3 and Nitendo Wii in the flat, so having a 'quick' look around will normally take me in the region of an hour. Now this review is based on the Leeds shop, and I'm ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Better than Gamestation! (275 words)

CEX is a computer store that sell games but also let you sell your own games back to them. They accept video consoles, games and even DVD's and offer you cash or trade in prices in return for them! CEX are growing day by day and getting more branches opened across the UK now. I have always found them to be good for exchanging my old games and dvds. CEX on the other hand for prices on their video games that they sell are over priced. The average new game out there will be expensive to buy from the store all the time. The new games like Fifa 10, Pro Evo 10 and Smackdown vs Raw 2010 are all priced at 40 quid above. I think the reason the games are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review CeX (Computer Exchange): Computer Game Exchangers (380 words)

CEX are one of the best highstreet Pre-owned games and electronic related hardware. I came across CEX at my local town and being a 'hard core gamer' I was very much forced to go in and take a look around they're 'upgraded store' I was amazed at the variety of what they stock, they had a row for each Format of console e.g. PS3, Xbox 360 etc. It was very nicely laid out and plenty of space to move about, therefore it rarely is crowded! Another service that CEX do is they will buy your games if they are in good condition for a fraction of what they are worth, at times it seems like they are ripping you off. But I do not use this service as it is one of ...  Read the complete review

CEX offer a good service allowing you to buy pre-owned electronics or sell your existing products, great if you need to earn a little extra cash! CEX have a website along with stores based throughout the UK offering a similar service throughout. In stores you can browse the various items they have in stock from mobile phones to computer games and buy pre-owned items. The prices are quite good and many devices have different price levels depending on their condition which is great if you want a bargain and don't mind a few scratches. Selling your electronics is also a very simple process, just head up to the counter, get a CEX card and you can sell for cash or ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review CeX (Computer Exchange): Pre-owner retailer of games & DVD's (229 words)

Computer Exchange is a retailer of pre-owner games for a variety of consoles as well as PCs. Also available are DVD's, mobile phones as well as some other pre-owned electronic items. The retailer has a number of franchises across the UK. The way the shop works is customers can bring in their items which they want to trade in & they are offered either cash for them or slightly more in credit notes to use in store. Although I've noticed recently that some stores have stopped offered cash now & only offer the credit notes. In terms of the amount offered from your items, they are very competitive and offer a surpringly good price, which you'll ...  Read the complete review
