Advantages: Handy if you need extra cash

In a bid to raise some emergency cash this weekend, so my partner, son and I could go out for lunch, we decided to trawl through our dvd's and palm some off to computer exchange.

Our local branch is in Croydon, and my partner has used them many times at his hometown of Watford. You can buy and sell with CeX, and the things they do are computer games, consoles, phones, dvd's, some cd's (electronic stuff essentially.)

It's a good place to buy things at competitive prices, and also to get rid of old things you no longer need or want. We managed to sell some dvd box sets that my other half had been given for xmas which were unwanted gifts, a few of my dvd's that I don't really watch and pocketed ourselves £50. Not a vast amount, but handy when you really need it!

To sell to Cex, obviously your items have to be in working order which they will check before purchasing from you. They don't have to be in great condition, but the condition of the item might affect the price they will pay. You also require ID to sell to them.

Summary: Useful for people who have a lot of old computer stuff lying around to get rid of
