Costco can save money on luxury food and large items (Costco)

Disadvantages: Costco own brand is pricier than Value and Own brand supermarket items

We shop at Costco for mainly big brand products which we would otherwise but at the supermarket-if you always buy the brand names and not supermarket own brands then Costco is much cheaper-for example Aerial washing powder tablets are particularly cheap compared to Tesco/Asda etc. However, if you but own brand products usually, you won't make much of a saving, if any. As other reviewers have said, the meat is good quality and reasonably priced. The bakery pastries and muffins are also good value and delicious! On the non-food side, it's great. Photo processing is unbeatably priced and the service quick, with lots of sizes, types available. The do canvas prints and photobooks(photobooks order online only) also. For electrical items there are big discounts on argos/amazon prices too. Televisions are particularly good bargains. Book are heavily discounted and we buy Johnsons baby wipes here too. There is also an opticians which my Dad reckons is much cheaper than the high street. Overall, I wouldn't do the weekly shop here because non-brand goods are rarely found here and we buy a few of those, but for a large expensive item like a TV or for luxury food items it's great, and the photo processing provides unbeatable value.
