Advantages: Cheap, Large warehouse style, Good quality

Disadvantages: Have to be eligible to join, Can be busy at checkouts, Don't be tempted by large packs that you'll never use

If you're a business owner or anyone of a multitude of professions, then you too can join Costco.

A US based company, Costco specialises in cash & carry but at a level pitched somewhere between Joe Public & Wholesaler. Roll up and you'll see families buying a new TV right alongside someone with pallet loads of Coke for their corner shop.

Use it and you'll soon recoup the membership fee (£20 + vat for trade members) but you do have to rememebr just how big your freezer is.

Everything is bulk packaged or as in the case of food, generally sold in catering sizes. You can get some real bargains but remember it's no bargain if it goes off while in the fridge.

Don't always assume they'll be dirt cheap either, you can sometimes do better on the net but for general use, it's ideal.

Great for stocking up once a week/month or so and especially at Christmas - they've a great range of booze too - hic!

Remember to add VAT when you're looking at the prices!
