Advantages: good prices and good service
Disadvantages: none
Currys is a retailing chain that sells mainly domestic electrical white goods and appliances. You can find Currys' shops spread widely around the UK. You can also shop from its website.
Last Bank Holiday I went to my local Currys shop to see if I could buy a washing machine from them.
The shop was a good size. So even though there were a lot of customers it didn't feel crowded.
The products were displayed effectively for viewing purpose and the labels were written clearly and detailed. Without the help of their staff I already had good idea about the products I wanted. However the staff, when asked for information, were very knowledgeable. Their answers helped me to learn more about the products.
Besides the washing machine I also had a look in the fridge and TV areas. The TV area was very impressive. There were working models of all TV sets for sell and you could compare picture quality and picture size. The staff member who showed me different TV brands and sizes was very friendly and informative.
Before buying anything I decided to check out other retailers and also online.
The experiences with other retailers were not encouraging, small spaces with unorganized display, not to mention the choices and the higher prices.
I came home and did a quick Ebay search to see if I could get cheaper prices. In the end I found the prices Currys provided were the cheapest.
The next day I went back to the local Currys shop and bought the TV, fridge and washing machine I wanted. The staff member who introduced me to the TV completed the orders efficiently and clearly.
I left the store with my TV and two days later the fridge and the washing machine were delivered to my door. They also took away my old machines.
I'm very satisfied with my first experience with Currys.
Summary: I'm very satisfied with my first experience with Currys.
