Currys-Think before you shop in

I stay very close to a high street store of currys and the last time I bought something here is around couple of months back and it was a LG LCD television.

*Pros*
-Wide product range
-Shop Lay out (Easy to find products)
I must say that they have a very wide range of product namely-TVs,PC components,PC peripherals,fridges,dishwashers,microwaves etc.The display in the store is also very good as you do not have to struggle hard to find what you look for.

*Cons*
-Expensive
-Poor after sale service
-Medicore salesperson

I feel they are overly priced as compared to their competitors.I have even compared it across various product range and apart from few items in small kitchen appliances like kettle I find this expensive.

I wanted some replacement parts for my TV and I must say it was rather disappointing as it took around 3 weeks.I think it is quite lengthy time as they promised me a couple of days and also conveyed that it was available in warehouse.

To find a salesperson who is keen in helping you out and telling the truth is a day dreaming as they always try to push a lot and cajole a lot about extended waranty scheme.It is always annoying as sometimes even if you are not a tech wizard you will know how much coverage a product needs and would not like to go for added scheme.It is a hostile attempt on their part to convince you to go for more.

Overall I would suggest you to check elsewhere before settling on currys if you do not have an impending urgency to get something from here as other retailers will be better bet.

Summary: Worth skipping currys !!!
