Advantages: Sale prices are great

Disadvantages: Only 12 hours long!

Debenhams is usually good value for money but I tend to wait for their 12 hour spectacular sale events, which they have every few months. If you can put up with the general melee and rather long queues which accompany these events, it's well worth it. Usually, everything is included - casual wear, gifts, designer wear, home accessories. I deliberately wait for these sale days and then venture in! The bigger discounts are on the own brand goods but the others, such as Morgan and Warehouse, have useful money off too.
The 12 hour events are always advertised in newspapers the day before and the stores themselves carry heavy promotion. I'd recommend going in early as they are pretty mobbed by lunchtime.
My local Debenhams has recently introduced an electrical goods department so it remains to be seen if these will be included in the sale events. If they are, I'll be sure to update you!
