Advantages: Good layout, friendly staff and a nice restaurant

Disadvantages: Wont find any bargains

Debenhams can be found in the centre of most high streets and supplies most brands of clothes and accessories. I think that Debenhams is not quite sure what kind of market that it is targeting.

Debenhams is mainly a clothes shop in my opinion with most of their floor space being taken up with clothes. Yes there are plenty of other items that Debenhams stock but it is always the clothes floor that is the busiest. They seem to split their shops into sections so that each retailer has a certain section.

The sport section in Debenhams is pretty good and they carry a good selection of clothes and equipment. The prices are quite reasonable as well so i would recommend taking a look if you are after some sport items.

The best part about Debehams in my opinion is the restaurant. The food is exceptionally good and is reasonably priced. The restuarant is always very clean and it seems that Debenhams take great pride in their restaurants. Infact the whole of Depenhams is clean and tidy. The staff are always polite and helpful as well. Debenhams seem very keen on customer care and I was very impressed recently to find a nice sofa by the ladies changing rooms so that I could sit down and wait for my wife. In some of the other shops I have come across lately men are expected to stand and wait while their partners try on clothes.

Overall Debenhams is a very impressive shop which prides itself on good customer care. If you are looking for bargain however then you won't find many in Debenhams apart from in the January sales when items are greatly discounted.
