Disadvantages: If you stop and think about having a measurement done you hessitate

Please dont let the headline of this put you off reading it if you happen to be a male as I hope that you will pass this on to the females in your life.

I only knew about this service a week ago when I went into Debenhams shopping with my teenage daughter. It is supposed to be general knowledge that Debenhams offers this Bra fitting service free or as my daughter puts it "surely you knew that Mum"! ummm no!

It has been in the news lately that a very high percentage of woman do not know their correct bra size and many papers have even gone through the trouble of showing how to take your own measurements.

I thought that I was wearing the correct bra size but I did need to buy a new one.

We went to where all the bras are in Debenhams and I choose one. It is here my daughter said you could get measured for one. Now I expect I am not alone in thinking I dont like being measured for a bra by a perfect stranger but suddenly there I was being told to take my top off! I hasten to add here that it was not the assistant who pushed me into it but my daughter!

Very efficiently with no effort at all she measured me and told me my size and which bra she would recommend. Now that might sound very easy but I have just had an operation with a 10" scar across my back and was very conscience of it. She put me so much at my ease. I would never have thought that I would be measured for a bra and be quite happy about it.

I took her advice and tried on the bra that she recommended for me. Immediately I could feel the difference and was no longer drooping south. The bra fitted absolutely perfectly and felt even that I did not have one on.

I bought the bra and will definately keep to Debenhams in future for any bra. My clothes look better on me, I have more confidence and even my stand seems better all because of a bra that fits when wearing one that I thought was a good fit but now know wasnt. You ca
nnot measure yourself so good as this.
