I've been bought up with Debenham's and some strange reason when my mum used to drag me in there as a kid, I used to hate it, wandering round looking at useless pots and pans, and then being dragged to the ladies clothes section, whilst mum kept trying on ridiculously horrible floral dresses as I sat on a chair waiting, bored senseless, for her to ...

Where to start? Missing items, customer service slow to respond, too money from orders when they were out of stock and did not refund for many weeks after. I am still awaiting a refund of over 150 pounds on this.
Absolutely the worst service I have recieved from any online department store, inf act pretty much anyone online.
Never again!

Debenhams have terrible customer service. The delivery took longer than they stated when I ordered. The clothes then arrived in several parcels over several days instead of all at once. They lost one of the items I sent back and took 2 months to refund the money. You queue for ages to get through to the call centre. It takes 10 days to get a reply to an e-mail. I would not order again.

I've shopped with Debenhams before, but would NEVER shop online with them again! I place orders with different retailers online several times a week and haven't found any large retailer anywhere near as bad as Debenhams Direct (their online service). I've used them once online and it's been a terrible experience. What you order online doesn't ...

I write this as a warning for others who are tempted to buy Debenhams vouchers. I had four £10 vouchers bought as a gift. I decided to get myself some perfume which cost £45:50. So I had to put £5:50 towards the cost. I gave the assistant the 4 vouchers and £5:50 only to be told that I could only spend three vouchers in one transaction. So I had to put £15:50 towards the perfume and take the one of the vouchers home. I was gob smacked. After writing a letter to the manager, he says he will send a £10 cheque as a guesture of goodwill if I send him the voucher back!
Do people know that they can only spend 3 vouchers per transaction???

I think Debenhams is grossly expensive and has very misleading sales. They advertise their sale stock often with huge markdowns but you can still buy the items cheaper than their sale price elsewhere. Watch out for their concession sales because if there is an actual store of the same name nearby, you'll find their sale price is often a lot ...

This store should be reported to trading standards for wasting everyones time with false and misleading offers. Don't waste your time ordering online. I have tried to order on 4 separate occasions and every time the order was cancelled due to lack of stock. They just put headline offers on items and then only fulfil any extra full price ...

Having gone into Debenhams in York to be measured for a new bra, I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the person who dealt with me. She spent some time explaining how a bra should fit, feel and look when being worn. I learned a lot of useful information. I was given several different styles and sizes to try so I ...

It is that time of year where we all start dashing around to get our Christmas shopping done on time and somehow we still manage to be panic buying on Christmas Eve. As you will see from my last shopping review that I haven’t been for a while so this week has been a real treat to wander around the shops even if I am not buying things for myself. ...

Debenhams is one of the popular Department stores in the UK. Most towns/cities will probably have one if you look around . They sell just about anything you could want to buy for the home yourself or your Family. Quite a lot of their floor space is taken up by concessions . Wedgwood , Royal Doulton , Arthur Price , Coloroll ...

(Debenhams Direct is a new, or perhaps, not that new now, service from Debenhams, the countries leading department store. (Their words not mine!) I received their Spring Summer 2004 catalogue within a week of ordering. It is not as massive and chunky as other mail order catalogues can be, with less than ...

Not often writing reviews I thought Debenhams deserved a review for what was a surprising transaction but first of all the background. Debenhams is a department store that can be found in most towns throughout the UK offering many services including internet shopping. Departments within the store include a wedding service and many of the ...

Please dont let the headline of this put you off reading it if you happen to be a male as I hope that you will pass this on to the females in your life. I only knew about this service a week ago when I went into Debenhams shopping with my teenage daughter. It is supposed to be general knowledge that Debenhams offers this Bra fitting ...

My mother has a Debenhams obsession. And I mean that literally, she is obsessed. She doesn't shop anywhere else. There are three reasons for this, which I hope will help explain Debenhams' appeal. 1.My mother is very lazy. Debenhams has just about all your shopping needs under one roof. She doesn't want to trail round ...

*****UPDATE ***** Well, the problems continued! I have been married 2months and still not had my last 2 gifts. Debenahms keep pressing me to accept vouchers instead, but I won't, I don't see why they should pass the buck to me. A delivery DID arrive, but was wrong, and we think they probably just put some stuff in a box and hoped ...

Debenhams has been my shopping paradise ever since i can remember. Mum used to take us when we were kids. I remember she used to take ages in the store, going through almost every department! It was very irritating at the time(obviously). Now, much older (and wiser) i've taken into mums footsteps and made it one of my favourite stores! ...

Myself and my husband got married on 2 June this year and we held our gift-list at Debenhams in Oxford Street, London. This isn't actually the nearest Debenhams to where we live but it has a larger selection of items to choose from. This is a brief run-down of how the procedure works: 1. Make an appointment, usually 3 months ...

Debenhams wedding service is second to none.We sorted our wedding list out at the weekend You start with a interview with a Wedding consultant who explains all the ins and outs of the system. You are then let loose in the store with a hand held scanner to scan the bar charts of any items you want to add to you list. Once the item has ...

A satisfying shopping experience for me is due to a combination of factors – how pleasant the atmosphere in which I’m shopping is, the level of stress I come away with, how pleased I am with my purchases - and whether there’s access to somewhere I can retreat to for a cappucino when I’ve worn out my patience and my feet are ...

One fine crisp, winter morning in November four Ciaoers (that's the 'other site') met up in Bedford for lunch and shopping. The four people in question were Offy, Enahs1, Wulise and Gwenick (that’s me!!) along with her 14 month son. It was 12 o’clock by the time we all met up and we were hungry……..well some of ...
