We are now on our second DFS sofa with our last one owned and used well for 5 years. This was a fabric 3+2+1 sofa from DFS and it stood up to 2 cats with shedding hair and normal wear and tear. The best thing was the covers were washable - I cannot stress enough if you go for a fabric sofa and it's a light colour make sure the covers and removable and washable :-)

Now DFS rarely let you haggle over price as they offer fantastic interest free options and this is how we have bought our previous 2 sofa's. We have had no trouble, no creaks or anything going wrong and our latest purchase we managed to get a leather care insurance and product kit for free. There are a lot of sales on at the moment for furniture stores but you can do a lot worse than popping down to DFS

Summary: A good way to buy a sofa
