Advantages: NICE SUITES IF YOU LIKE THEM

Disadvantages: BAD ADVERTISING

When D.F.S. first opened my husband and I went to the nearest store to take a look at the deals that were hitting our T.V. After all they had suites from 399 interest free and pay nothing for the first 12 months. Worth taking a look isn't it.

Once in the store we had a glass of wine handed to us and a balloon given to my daughter. (Stores opening week). We took a look around the sales people were asking if they could help in any way but were not pestering us which was good. All the displays were well presented they made each stand into a different living room with different suites used each display.

You could walk around freely and sit on any suite you wanted to. I did realise that a price would be put on a sofa and you would think that is a good deal, but when you sat on it and took a look at the chairs to go with it you would see that they were individually priced which put the price up by a great amount.

We continued to look around the store looking for the deals which were advertised on the T.V when we were shown to a big warehouse attached to the main store where they were just stacked on top of each other. Most of them were sold and there wasn't a sales person in sight.

After seeing this we were not very happy, I don't think that they wanted you to see the sofas advertised they only wanted you to look at the more expensive ones in the show room. I know companies use various forms of advertising but i tink this was very sneaky after all I had to travel over 25 miles to the nearest store looking for a good deal, only to find very over priced furniture which didn't really apeal to me. They prices are so high as they give them to you interest free with nothing to pay for 12 months after all they have to make their money somewhere.

I returned to our local furniture shop where I found the suite I wanted and delivery took less than 4 weeks. We payed cash for the suite but working out the credit ter
ms it would have still worked out less than D.F.S. and their offers. Now that does say something doesn't it.
