Advantages: deals galore
Disadvantages: questionable quality
DFS is an very large sofa retailer in the uk, with many many showrooms scattered across our isles it is not much wonder that it is such a popular place, not to mention the constant unstoppable adverts on TV for every season and holiday.
The ads caught my eye when I was preparing to move into my new house and like many others the intrest free credit deals with nothing to pay for 12 months etc sound extremley appealing!
So, when my partner and I visited our local store on the Boucher Road, Belfast, we browsed the large sofa showroom taking in all the different sofas which all admittedly looked attractive, blending in with their pretend home set-ups.
We went on to pick our sofa after being helped by a very helpful and friendly salesman and were very happy with our choice and were assured out new sofa would be delivered in 12 weeks to our new address, which it was.
However, our sofa now is around 7 months old and looks NOTHING like what it did in the showroom. It is leather and the filling has totally flattened. I have contacted the store who have sent out a guy to look at it who has repeatadly told me that it is just the style of sofa.
I am now left with a sofa which if I had of known would flatten I would never have purchased unfortunatley. I am still paying it of and will be for another 3 years.
Summary: I am left unhappy with DFS not offering much help

But have to say, you should take the matter further,as I really don;t think it is fit for purpose. have a look at watchdog online as they have had many problems!!! |
