Advantages: You get to learn patience
Disadvantages: You don't get your delivery on time
If at all possible avoid ordering from Dixons as long as they are using Business Post as their delivery service...
We ordered a Wii plus some extras from Dixons and paid extra for express delivery (within a 4 hour time slot). It is now 4 days later and finally there is an update for our delivery... saying that it was not delivered because no one was at home. This is not surprising, as we had no indication about when to expect the delivery.
Once the original delivery date/time came and went, we phoned dixons and they informed us that it was not really their problem - although they did say they will refund the premium we paid for the delivery.. still waiting to see if that happens.
Getting hold of business post is a complete joke. When we phoned the number on their website, we were told they can't help us and that we had to phone the Croydon branch. We took turns phoning the 2 numbers we were given, and after 5 hours (over 2 days) of just listening to a phone ringing and no one picking up, we phoned the main number again. We were told to try phoning Croydon branch again and "to be patient..."
I am now going to cancel my order from dixons and i refuse to order from them as long as they use business post as their couriers.
Summary: Bad delivery reflects badly on your business
