all i wanted was a washing machine delivered and installed- so ordered from dixons as they promised to do that... 2 weeks later after the orginal delivery/install date and many phone calls- yes my wash mac finally installed- but only because there happened to be another plumber there at the time sent by the landlord to do the gas safety check if it had been left to dixons installer i'd still be waiting.
i ordered thinking how bad can it be (having cancelled my previous dixons order for a vacuum cleaner which didn't arrived for three weeks....) but in retrospect should have ordered a washing machine from a good company (e.g. my neighbours argos delivery arrived promptly with courteous drivers) and perhaps booked a local plumber to install the washing machine- say one who would actually come when they said they would and then installed it?!

Dixons are offering a Sony Bravia KDL26S5500 for £357-99; too good an offer to miss!

Ordered at 14-33 on 07/09/09, then read Dixons reviews and panicked.

E-Mail at 21-47 on 09/09/09 saying T.V. had been dispatched, would be delivered next day by DHL between 9-00am and 5-00pm; parcel tracking number supplied.

Delivered 10-19 on 10/09/09.

Ordered a fridge and freezer from their website - delivery was with in two weeks stock availability was also confirmed. I received an e-mail acknowledging the order which stated that I would receive a subsequent e-mail to 'confirm' the order. A e-mail came saying it would be an extra week from the original date. That has come and passed and still not fridge.
Have tried contacted them and the people on the other end of the phone havent a clue telling me it could be any when.

Still waiting a month later!!!

i ordered a sony camcorder online (model no DCR-HC51E) it was advertised as easy to use and to WATCH THROUGH YOUR PC what a load of rubbish, google the product and then you will not want to buy this item, i decided to contact dixons for help with connecting to my pc that was an even bigger waste of time, rude unhelpful staff, i will never buy from dixons again !!!!!!

The WORST customer service i have ever known!! I ordered a washer Dryer from them in January 2009. The delivery date was agreed but they didnt turn up! I called on the day since it was getting towards evening and was told they would be there in 20 minutes (an obvious lie). No one called to say they wouldn't be turning up.

After that Customer Services dont return calls and are rude. I made a formal complaint five days ago and still no one has contacted me.

Absolutely awful customer service - I will never order from them again and recommend that you dont too!

Product was cheapest available anywhere, purchased during a "free delivery" period for delivery on a monday - received an email stating I would have to check a website after 9pm the day before my delivery (on a Sunday - surely not!) Lo and behold Sunday evening I was advised the dishwasher would be delivered between 12:30 and 16:30 - not best as no one would be in from 2:30 to 3:30 (school runs) but at exactly 12:30 the delivery driver arrived with a colleague who assisted placing the dishwasher in the kitchen, removed all of the unneccessary packaging and allowed my wife to check for damage, she then had to sign that the item was delivered, that the item was not damaged and that the house was not damaged by the delivery team. What more could anyone possibly want???

If at all possible avoid ordering from Dixons as long as they are using Business Post as their delivery service... We ordered a Wii plus some extras from Dixons and paid extra for express delivery (within a 4 hour time slot). Ordered LCD tv and it arrived on time. When I unpacked it I found its stand damaged. Contacted them for a replacement and was given a collection/relplacement date. The day came and went with no collection. Contacted Dixons again and was told I never contacted them the first time by a very cheeky assistant. he said item was out of stock and would not be arriving shortly so said I would get refund when tv is returned. Next day the item was in stock on their site so I called back. This time i got a veryhelpful assistant who helped sort it out. Now waiting for collection and replacement when its returned.

I bought an ex display plasma tv from Dixons 3 yrs ago (£1500)and bought a 3 yr coverplan for £300. The sales advisor told me that even if the picture had deteriorated slightly they would be obliged to fix the problem and as technology would be that much improved in 3 years would probably just replace the TV. I bought a satnav from Dixons. Price was good and it arrived in the time they said it would. They used DHL, a courier that seems to be better than average in my area. So far so good. No complaints.

I hate Dixons. They have 200 quid of my money and I have a knackered DVD recorder. Phonoing them was a waste of time. It took me 45 minutes to get to speak to someone in the right department. Ordered a item that was in stock but they called me up a few days later after processing payment to say it is now out of stock, although they are selling the same product at a higher price now...lies perhaps?
