Dolcis has the WORST returns policy I have ever come across. I bought a pair of suede effect boots from them for £45 pounds which after only 2 weeks became frayed at the front and the heels had started 2 wear away! when I returned them with the reciept to see if Dolcis could repair them for me the manager told me this was normal wear and tear. I will never shop in Dolcis again instead I will stick with Barrats where I bought a pair of boots of a very similar style to the dolcis ones for £25 and I have been wearing for 2 years.

I know Dolcis can sell cheap shoes and this is ok if they are ones that you might wear on an evening out or just a few times. Unfortunately having just bought shoes that I'd intended to wear a lot to then find that they let in water. They are only two week old so I took them back to the shop on a day it was raining to prove to the store. Even with showing my soaked sock the manager wouldn't even exchange them let alone refund me. She said that only wellington boots were 100% waterproof and that I should buy two pairs from them, one to wear to work and the others at work. Steer well Clear. I bought a pair of shoes from the Oxford Street store two weeks ago. Last week I had to take them back as water was leaking in between the sole and the uppers. The manager told me that unless there was a visable hole they couldn't exchange them. She then told me that I should buy two pairs, one to wear to work and the others to wear at work. I asked how this would stop them leaking to which she told me wellington boots were the only 100% waterproof footwear. I checked up about the company Alexon that owns Dolcis and found out that they profits are down 87%. I LOVE Dolcis. I LOVE shoes, of course, who doesn't? They keep you feet warm (sometimes) and are always better than socks. As a self confessed shoeaholic, I'd be bankrupt without Dolcis, and thanks to the almost constant Dolcis sale I can even afford to eat. Hoorah! I've lost count the amount of times I have seen what can only be described as DIVINE shoes in an extortionately priced footwear store that I really shouldnn't allow my self to enter. The pain of knowing the little beauties could nevr be mine was heartily wiped out on spotting an almost identical pair in Dolcis for half the price.
