Fashion boots (Dolcis)

Advantages: fashion boots look good

Disadvantages: the soles are usually plastic and slippy!

Fashion with nice high heels tend to slip on wet or frosty ground during winter. I like to wear knee length, tight fitting fashion boots in winter but can't find any with non-slip soles.

Most of the stock available in shoe shops has plastic, slippery soles.The pair I bought most recently came from Dolcis shoe shop. The soles on these looked as though they would be okay as they had ridges on them but they still slip. I have tried adding rubber soles to new boots but they just come off. I've even tried sandpapering the soles but it's not very effective.

Does anyone know where you can buy fashion boots with non slip soles?

I'm sure I can't be the only one with this problem. Surely footwear manufacturers must be aware of the unsuitability of these soles on fashion boots during winter.
