I break shoes (Dolcis)

Disadvantages: They smell

I break shoes. Before they get a chance to become unfashionable or too small, within about 3 months of buying them, they will be broken. No matter how much they cost, or what they are, I break them.

Unless I bought them in Dolcis...

Dolcis seem to have a penchant for making shoes which, combined with my feet, stink to high heaven. I'm not talking about just "eugh Louisa, that smells", I'm talking full evacuation and de-contamination of any building which is unfortunate enough for me to remove my Dolcis shoes in.

So I returned them.

Poor shop assistant nearly died and I had to wave my non-Dolcis shoes in her face to demonstrate the smell difference, but they were very happy to replace them. Apparently there can be some sort of reaction between the material in the shoe and sweat, and I'm unlucky that it happens to me, and it's awful.

Three pairs of shoes later, due to returns, I gave up and bought a non-Dolcis pair, which do not smell, but did last until they broke.

I must stress that is only seems to be Dolcis' own loafers and trainers which seem to follow this lovely trend, but does it matter that you can get a full refund, a new pair of shoes, as quickly as the shop assistant can just to get you out of the shop?!?
