Advantages: Cheap and Chearful, Beautiful shoes
Disadvantages: May break quicker than others, Plastic shoes can cut delicate tootsies
I LOVE Dolcis. I LOVE shoes, of course, who doesn't? They keep you feet warm (sometimes) and are always better than socks. As a self confessed shoeaholic, I'd be bankrupt without Dolcis, and thanks to the almost constant Dolcis sale I can even afford to eat. Hoorah! I've lost count the amount of times I have seen what can only be described as DIVINE shoes in an extortionately priced footwear store that I really shouldnn't allow my self to enter. The pain of knowing the little beauties could nevr be mine was heartily wiped out on spotting an almost identical pair in Dolcis for half the price. Of course I end up buying three pairs but that would have to happen anywhere. It's true that often the shoes aren't quite as well made as in more expensive shops, which is reflected in the price, but if you know you're fickle and you'll hardly wear them, it makes sense. Very fashionable shoes go out of fashion very quickly, and besides when you've got as many shoes as me and Imelda Marcos you don't get a chance to wear them out! The Dolcis sale is always worth a squiz. I've bought some of my favourite shoes for next to nothing because they were out of season, but beware that there are no faults, and that they're both the same size. Amazing but sometimes it happens. If there are faults that you don't mind putting up with, check if they've been accounted for in the final sale price, otherwise they may take an extra 10% off if you ask! Hooray for the skinflint in all of us.

- 03/02/03 LOL, shoe fetishist are we? A good op, a little bit more info and your on your way to a VU. Things to talk about include- quality, variety, layout and tidiness, what the staff are like, prices, value for money and so on. Well done. |
