Dorothy Perkins was founded in 1909 by Dorothy Perkins. The company was controlled by the Farmer family. In 1973 British Land bought Dorothy Perkins, and took over running the company.

The Arcadia Group now own Dorothy Perkins, and has over 600 stores nationwide.

I have been shopping at Dorothy Perkins ever since i can remember. I remember my mum taking me along when she done her shopping, and remember looking at all the lovely clothes thinking wow. Now i'm a little older (24) i regulary shop at Dorothy Perkins myself, and love it.

** The DP Store**

I travel around alot for work, so i i'm always popping into different Dorothy Perkins stores in the UK. They sell a wide range of clothing, knitwear, denim, dresses, casual dresses, smart work wear, suits, coats, jackets, tops. They also sell a wide range of maternity clothing, and a range of petite and tall clothing. Dorothy perkins offer sizes 6-22 in most of their lines, so is suitable for everybody.

As well as clothes, DP offer a wide selection of fabulous accessories, jewellery, bags and belts. Also, they offer a selection of shoes, which come in UK sizes 3-8, and also 9 in some styles.

I love DP because of the quality of the clothing, and the great prices you always find. Everytime i have bought an item from this shop, i am always very satisfied with my purchase, and look foward to going back.

** Shop Customer Services**

I've always believed good customer service is a big must in all shops. If a member of staff is ever rude and unhelpful, i find myself turning around and walking out the shop, because i don't like spending my hard earned money shopping where the staff are rude to their customers. I am very happy to say i have never experienced any poor customer service from the DP stores i have visited and bought from.

The staff are always very happy, and if you are ever stuck for an outfit, you are sure to be helped out by a member of staff.

The stores are always clean (well as clean as a store can be when they have customers in and out all day), and the displays are always well designed, and normally help me make up my mind with my particular purchase.

** The Website**

I have ordered from the DP website a few time now, and i have nothing but good things to say about it.

The website is very easy to use, and on the left you will find a list of categories, i.e. dresses, knitwear, shoes and boots, jeans, tops. Because the website is so clearly set out, you never have any problems finding an item you are looking for.

I recently signed up to the email newsletter, i find this great because i am normally the first to hear about any offers coming up, or any discount days in the stores. You are also sent VIP invites to 20% off days. It really is worth signing up if you love shopping at DP, and never know when they have their special events.

** Overall **

DP is great, you can normally always find something you like in the store, and with such fab prices, you will always buy it then and there, i always do ;-)

The only thing i say to avoid is the DP account card. With the typical APR being 29.9% variable, its really not worth it, and you could get yourself into financial trouble because its hard to re-sist buying things when your just wacking it on the account card.

DP is one of my favourite stores in the Arcadia group.
