Dorothy Perkins is a bit of an odd one for me. I do like the shop but it is not one of my favourites. Dorothy Perkins has many stores around the country and is within the Arcadia Group. It is often linked to Burtons in shopping centres and is also on most high streets. The store sizes vary between places.

Dorothy Perkins is a clothes store that sells clothes for women. It also sells shoes, accessories, and underwear. They have quite a good variety of clothing available in the store. Although they do try and keep up with the trends , they are not ultra fashionable. This means that the clothes are quite accessible for all ages. I have been shopping there since about 16 and my mum also shops in there. Where Dorothy Perkins does quite well with its clothes is all the basic items. These are items such as jeans, plain tops etc that everyone needs as a stable to their wardrobe. They produce these to a good quality and they are also available at good prices. They often do offers such as two pairs of jeans for £25 or two tops for £12. This is very useful if you are trying to stock your basics up.

I have also bought some other items from the store such as accessories. I have bought some nice earrings from the store before and also some good basic going out bags. I find the store very good for buying presents for people as they do some good cheap items in their jewellery and underwear sections.

I have never purchased shoes from Dorothy Perkins but they appear to have a moderate selection available. The underwear is also reasonable, although sizes are pretty average so if you have a small/large bra size you will need to shop elsewhere.

I find the sizes within the store quite good. I am a size ten normally and when I have picked them up I know they will fit me. Some stores can be quite erratic when it comes to sizing. The sizes range from 8 - 22 so they have a good range of sizes available.

The stores are well laid out. They tend to put all the basic items together, all the work items together etc. They also have a maternity section, a petite section and a tall section. This is useful if you have short/long legs etc.

Another good point to the store is that they offer student discount. When I was at university this was brilliant as I could save money on the basic items I needed. This if often 15% which is better than most stores, I have seen it go up to 20% though which is brilliant.

They also have a website which you can purchase items from. This has all the ranges and also has sale items on it.

Overall I think that this store is a good store that has a good range of items for all ages of women. I do think though that it is lacking a certain something.
