Although Dorothy Perkins is in the same company as Top Shop, I find it much easier to find attractive clothes that suit my figure.

Dorothy Perkins provides lovely, semi-fashionable clothes that will suit anyone of any size, its a bit more toned down that Top Shop (in the sense that Top Shop are catering to girls who are obsessed with fashion, without the money to spend on designer items), and I think there are a lot more multi-purpose clothes that can be found in Dorothy Perkins.

The store layout is fantastic with office-wear and maternity at the back near the changing rooms, and all the latest stuff they have in right at the front, the prices are a lot more agreeable than that of similar high street stores (such as Top shop or Bay trading for example) and like I said the clothes that you'd find in Dorothy Perkins are still attractive but more toned down, but by no means boring as the clothes they provide are still suitable for going on a night out in, or to a fancy meal, its just a lot less of a risk that people are going to be saying 'WHAT is she wearing?!'
And you're doubtful to look back in 10 years and cringe.

I've had many items from Dorothy Perkins over the years, jeans, numerous t-shirts and tops and going out dresses as well as shoes and accessories.
The staff are normally very friendly and fashionable, and are really helpful if you need a bigger or smaller size bringing to the changing room.

I'd recommend going in here as an essential port of call if out on a general shopping trip!
