Dunelm is a home wares shop.

This is a description of my local store in Derby. I have never visited any other stores but assume they are pretty much the same.

Upon entering our store there is a large section of bedding. They have a very comprehensive range. I have bought a couple of these in the sale and they are really hard wearing and wash well.

They have s specific range for children and nursery. I managed to get my sons pillow and pillow cases from here. The pillowcases for cot size pillows are very hard to find without been in a quilt set. They are very reasonably priced. They are £3.99 in comparison to £5.99 in Mothercare. On this section they have a range of pillowcases for V shaped pillows. I bought a pillow like this from Argos when pregnant to try and get comfy at night but it only came with one pillowcase. There is a selection of colours that I haven't seen anywhere else.

The bathroom range has a large selection of towels in every colour you can imagine. I have bought the Egyptian cotton towels in a chocolate colour and surprisingly they haven't faded like many of towels I have bought from other stores. The bathroom range also includes shower curtains, soap dispensers and bits and bobs for your bathroom.

There is a bake ware section which is very mixed price, some are very reasonable but other items are quite expensive. They sell everything from Aprons to baking tins and even some gadgets to help the disabled.

There is a section for furniture and rugs. The furniture is very heavy high quality furniture which is reflected in the price. There is a range of rugs for all price ranges.

There is a huge section of materials including the cotton, ribbons, zips and everything you could ever need to create your own individual item.

This leads onto the curtains and blinds section, there is a facility to have your own curtains made, buy the material and make your own or purchase ready made curtains. Again this is a vast selection.

There are also smaller sections with cushions, artificial flowers, gifts and a selection of very unique mirrors.

I find I never have to queue for long to pay in this store there always seems to be at least tow people on checkout which keeps the queues down.

I have only returned an item once but had my receipt and had no problems. I was given an immediate refund.

The staff at this store are extremely friendly and helpful. They have carried items out to the car for me when I have been struggling with shopping and my son in the buggy. They have to wear florescent jackets when on the car park due to health and safety. They are also not allowed to put items into your car in case you claim that they have damaged your car in some way but I guess that comes as a result of somebody at least claiming off the company when the staff have tried to help.

If you are shopping for your home and are not looking for quality at a reasonable price then this store is definitely worth checking out.
