Video Rental Shops in Edinburgh
by Froggerella
The only video rental shop I've ever been into in Edinburgh is Vogue Video, on...South Clerk Street? The road with the many names, anyway.
The shop is quite a small one, with walls full of shelves stocking DVDS to rent, which can be quite time consuming when you're looking for something, especially if it's fairly crowded. ... However, the membership is cheap, and the rental prices are also cheap. The shop stocks all kinds of different genres, and it can be quite interesting to not know what you're going to find on a shelf - a bit of an Aladdin's cave, at times.
The shop also sells ice cream, pop corn, fizzy drinks, etc, making it a one-stop shop for a film night. In addition, they occasionally have a pile of films for sale, because they're old or whatever reason there is - the prices for those tend to also be quite cheap.
To join up, all you need to do is fill in a form with your name, address, etc, show a little proof of this, and pay. Then you're done! Read the complete review |

I find that the small scack bars are more hygenic and certainly FAR better Value for money than the big ones.
They are the ideal place to get a good breakfast roll on a Sunday morning, espescially if you want to soak up the booze from Saturday night. lol so go on, have a guid ... day oot and get something good in yer stomach to keep you goin tae Sunday dinner. Read the complete review |

Waverley Shopping Centre
by
Edinburgh is never considered much of an excellent place for shopping but it has it's good places. Although the Waverley Shopping Centre isn't the best of all places to shop, it does have many good names under it's roof and it is right in the city centre, obviously being nmaed Waverley for being next door to the train ... station. A variety of shops are in here, from little gadget shops, clothes shops and beauty shops to record shops and so on. This is quite a confusing places because every corner turned looks the same so when I go here I usually keep on the same floor and go to every shop I need to before moving on, so that if I get lost I will at least have seen what I wanted. A shop I quite like in here is the Fox Entertainment one, it sells merchandise from all of it's tv programmes and films, I really like it here and it's good for buying people presents, even though some things are quite expensive. The clothes shops I like in here are Jeffrey Rogers, which I did a review on, Kookai I like even though it is a small branch. There used to be a Morgan in here but I am sure last time I was here it had gone. There is an Oasis and a boarder shop downstair selling things from Quiksilver and the Oasis shop is nice. The Benetton shop in here is quite a disappointment nothing exciting is sold here. The Body Shop is nice in here and so are most of the shops selling bauty products. The record shop in here isn't a wellknown one like Virgin Megastore and HMV which are on main Princes Street but it still sells everything like the rest do. If you want a break from shopping there is a huge choice right at the very bottom floor of the centre, with a selection of many different foods, from salalds, to pizzas, to potatoes or ice cream etc there is a big area in the middle to sit at and if you I think this is a nice shopping centre but I couldn't spend a day shopping here, I would recommend other ce
ntres in Edinburgh like the St James Centre or the Gyle.
