EB Games (Electronics Boutique)Newest Review: ... to the charts to get what you’re wanting and you’ll have no problems at all. This however is where the store excels in its own – say there's an older game that you want – for example a few months ago I decided that I simply had to own a copy of Bishi Bashi Special for Playstation One, although they have one of the widest selections of games I’ve seen in a ... more |

I like my computer games I do, ever since many many moons ago I was given the old Commodore Plus 4 to tinker around on, I’ve always kept my eye out for the latest in gaming technology. Now sometimes that’s just been the latest game and others its been the latest console, but I’ve always been up to something games-wise and ever since Electronics Boutique (here-on-in called EB) opened up in Grimsby they’ve always had a hand in my purchasing decisions. * Who and what are they? * Simply put they’re an American-owned computer games and DVD distributor in the UK, any town worth its name in salt will have its own branch and on ... OK, it's my turn to voice my opinion about EB. From my experience I have never had any problems while shopping in any of the EB stores, and believe that they're prices are both fair and competitive. I'm not the kind of person to just go to one shop all the time, just because I don't know any better, but I'll shop around and I can honestly say, hand on heart, that EB is consistantly the cheapest of the lot. Sure, some people have had bad experiences with them, but people have bad experiences with everything in life, it doesn't automatically mean that a thing is rubbish. On 2 seperate occasions while shopping in EB I have had help from ... Read the complete review

Loads of people love Electronics Boutique, simply because they don't know any better! EB is the worst of all the computer games stores, give me a good independant store any day.. Since I bought a PC, I haven't been into EB once. EB is always overpriced on PC Cd-rom games, and they don't exchange second hand PC games, unlike all the independant stores who always have 2nd hand PC games at great price. Yesterday was the first time I've been there for a year, and I ended up cutting my membership card infront of the manager after a row about their price matching policy. I want a PC Cd-rom called "Return to Castle ... Read the complete review

I believe this is the best computer game retailer around today. Are local store (Northampton). Is small but it has a massive selection of all games. They have really cheap second hand dreamcast games. So Thats good for all of you with dreamcast. They also have some really well priced PC and playstation games. The nintendo 64 games are quite expensive but this is because they come on a cartridge and cartridges are much more expensive to make then disks are. There are always some staff walking around who will be happy to help you. The good thing is that they really do know what they are talking about. Which is good when you want to ask them opinions on ... Read the complete review

There are many shops vying for a share of your precious gaming cash, most of which are so similar that they tend to merge into on another in your mind. Electronics Boutique's effort, however, is just that little bit different, and - if you ask me, which you must be doing or you wouldn't be wasting your time reading this op - better. The shops themselves are nothing particularly exciting, with the normal array of cardboard boxes (and of course the all-new DVD-style cases - "ooooh!" as they used to say on Blankety Blank) for various machines lining the walls. The layout varies a little from shop to shop, which can be a nuisance, as can their ... Read the complete review
