Advantages: well laid out, good selection, nice staff

Disadvantages: pricey

I am not one for buying everything designer, however I feel if Ihad all the money in the world I would feel different about that! There are quite a few shops which stock rows upon rows of designer clothes in Abedeen, one of which is Envy.

Envy can be found on Union Street, near McDonalds and Office. It can be recognised by its silver 'Envy' sign which sticks out on the wall to make it easy to spot. When you walk through the main doors you are in the mens section. You can see that this floor is well laid out and neat and tidy. You need to walk up the stairs on the left to get to the womens' clothes. Reaching this floor, you will see various rails in the middle of the floor, with some on the walls too, and a little section for accessories, with changing rooms are up here too, at the side. What I found odd though was that to get back downstairs you need to use different stairs, located at the other side of the shop. They both take you to the ground floor though...!

So what do Envy stock? Well in short, clothes and accessories! They have everything ranging from jeans and trousers, to dresses and tops. They are up to date with the latest fashions, but you wil also find some basic clothes in there too, which can be worn all year round!

Envy stock a lot of designer clothes to suit the tastes of those with bulging wallets. These include brands such as Bench, French Connection, Fire Trap, and my favourite, Playboy. Naturally, as these are top designers, the clothes are going to be fairly high priced. For example, a womens' Tom Wolfe jacket could cost you up to £80! However you are generally getting a good quality product which will last, so now and again it may be worth splashing out that much!

The staff in this Envy are easily recognised with their black and red Envy shirts, and are very friendly! If you are having any trouble they are always happy to assist, and clearly know what they are doing! I've yet to be served by anybody with that stereotypical spotty student attitude!

This is a well laid out shop, with a wide selection of fashionable clothes to choose from to suit your tastes. If you can afford it, then why not?

£80 for a coat is apparently not that bad any more - I've seen them for £75 in Next and was horrified!
