Advantages: Reasonably priced, good variety.

Disadvantages: Not enough large sizes

Evans is the only shop I know wholly dedicated to the needs of the plus sized
woman. I have been a customer for years, and it has greatly improved. It has
developed to recognise the need for fashionable, practical clothes for the
larger woman at a reasonable price. Although there are now other clothing
outlets for plus sizes, Evans is the only one I know of who can provide
underwear, lingerie, nightwear and sportswear, as well as accessories and shoes.
The shoe department has been a life saver for me because, before they introduced
their range, I found it almost impossible to get size 9 shoes that fit properly
and which were designed for women of my age. Now, I can go in, try on several
pairs of shoes and basically take my pick and I now have several pairs, as
opposed to one or two pairs which had to last me forever. One of my only gripes
is that they never order enough of the larger sizes, and sometimes, you actually
have to be in the shop on delivery day to stand a chance of getting a new item.
