There's a Farmfoods near were we live. We've never actually been in, so we thought, let's do it! You only live once! On first appearances, it seems like a diluted version of Iceland. It all seems to be laid out in those familiar aisles, with the freezes on each side.

I have to say, their selection is pretty poor in the frozen food stakes. Couldn't see any steaks actually! They all seem to be their own brands of stuff and they all look pretty poor quality. I'm afraid neither of us were prepared to try any of the food.

However, there was some tinned stuff and packets placed above the freezers and they were of more familiar names that we see in the bigger supermarkets. Also a 4 pint flaggon of milk only cost £1 and overall, other stuff like Princess tinned corned beef was quite a bit cheaper than usual.

I wouldn't be very happy winning a trolley dash in Farmfoods. In fact I wouldn't get a trolley, just a small basket to get some milk!
I remember a while ago The king of blarney Terry Wogan did the voiceover on T.V for Farmfoods. Can you imaging him shopping there? Noooooooooo.. way!

I read a comment about another review on this Supermarket which was spot on. The people who fill their trollies up in here and are probably regulars all look a little poorly and probably lacking in some essential vitamins and minerals. This sounds right as they don't sell any fresh fruit or vegetables. Some may have orange in their pints of vodka!

Also the people serving in this shop were all very young and most of them had acne. Which reminds me, I couldn't see any decent pizza's.
Also as you know from the adverts, polar bears shop at Farmfoods. In fact I know a shoplifter polar bear but he does suffer with depression. Actually he's Bi- Polar....... Sorry, sorry, sorry about that!!

I think we'll stick to Tesco and Asda were everyone looks very nice and healthy with a wonderful glow. I'm off to get more of my 5 a day!
