Farm foods has just opened close to our house and for the first week I didnt go near as a few snobby friends of mine told me it wasn't the sort of place to shop. Should have never listened to them, my parents went for a look and my dad popped in and said "here that quorn stuff you lot eat is down farm foods for a pound a pack" The light bulb went on and off I went.
The Yeovil store is clean and tidy and the staff are really lovely. Whether it will go downhill I can not say its still early days but right now I love the place.
I left with £60 worth of branded food, all brands I could have purchased in Morrisons/ tesco for a lot more money.
I picked up a real mix of veggie, non veggie, fish, potato products and I am really happy with all my purchases. This country has to get over the food snobbery so many of us seem to have.
last year I shopped in Marks and Spencer for a lot of our foods with the remaining coming from Tesco or Morrisons. Now most of my products come from lidl and Farm foods, my weekly/ monthly food cost is down and so is my petrol usage as I am not driving miles to our nearest supermarket and that just takes a couple more pressures of the family finances.
Another few plus points to farm foods is the aisles are nice and wide and it's never that busy which means taking the children is not stressful like a visit to tesco. I can be in and out quick and you never have to wait at the tills to be served.
And the carrier bags are free and the staff in ours help pack without asking, how refreshingly helpful.
And as for my snobby food mates, well they all came for lunch and ate what I served and their plates were empty. That says it all doesnt it.
About time these places gave tesco a run for their money.
Summary: Get over your food snobbery and try it
