Compared to what Basingstoke was like 8 years ago this place has radically transformed the landscape and all for the better.

The centre is light attractive and airy, and almost perceives a certain element of class. There are a large number of retailers here who are all high street names including Debenhams, BHS, M&S, modelzone to name but a few.

There is a large Vue cinema towards one end of the shopping centre and many eating places, most of which are locted under the cinema. Festival Place has become much more than a shopping centre and can be compared to Gunwharf keys where you can shop, eat and be entertained.

Car parking is very easy, although trying to pay for the car parking is a mission especially with the amount of people on the weekend, or because one of the ticket machines is out of order and you have to trek to find the next one, something which seems to regularly happens to me.

Festival place is easily found when driving and is signposted from junction 6 of the M3. Basingstoke station is located at the far end of the shopping centre, which can be accessed on the train line between Southampton and London Waterloo.

Summary: A great placed to shop, eat and be entertained.
