Advantages: Good prices, best place for games products except online

Disadvantages: More expensive then online sites

Funnily enough, GAME sells video games, for nearly all platforms including the three "next-gen" consoles; Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii. As well as handhelds such as the DS and PSP and older consoles such as the PS2 and Xbox and some retro games, although Gamestation has a better range in that department.

They have both new and pre-owned games and consoles for sale. Obviously the latter are cheaper but are fully working and not damaged as GAME won't accept them. However, I wouldn't actually recommend trading games in because compared to eBay, it's just not worth it.

GAME does have good in-store prices when you compare them to Argos, Zavvi and HMV who are definitely more expensive and usually price the games strangely as they don't have as much knowledge in the market. I still think buying online is cheaper though as websites like Amazon, Play and ShopTo will more often than not, have lower prices (with free delivery) than GAME stores. Its biggest competition was Gamestation which it actually owns now so their prices are quite similar although Gamestation seem to sell more Blu-Rays.

Overall, it has pretty much all gaming related products, including accessories and older consoles, with decent prices that are favourable over most high street stores.

Summary: Can't go wrong with GAME
