Games Workshop is a store that provides a central place for people interested in the wargaming hobbies of Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, Lord of the Rings, or several other smaller games. There are a number of stores around the country and each one is staffed by members of staff who take part in the hobby themselves, thus ensuring that their knowledge of the games, although not faultless is at least on a par with most gamers meaning that whether you need help with sticking your models together, how to highlight that new tank, or knowing when or when not to take a cover save, they'll usually be able to give you an answer.

Additionally they offer the ability to purchase any of their range of products in store, with a deliver to store option available if they don't have it in stock.

Most stores also have a wide range of gaming tables available for use and will take you through the stages to play as a beginner through to when you are ready to play the game independently at which point many offer games nights where you can meet up with friends or strangers for a friendly or competitive game, which can lead to a number of new friends.

Also they stock the range of modelling equipment, paints, brushes, and spaces to use them if you wish. This is particularly useful as they have their own range of colours which are used by the 'eavy Metal team to paint the store models so you can get as close as you like to the professionals.

The only down side is the price of the products, this isn't a huge complaint as they do make their own products so they set their own price, but suffice to say that many independent retailers sell at up to 40% off.
All in all the company offer a comprehensive service for the gamer or the modeller which makes the place well worth a visit if you're into such things.
