Advantages: Excellent variety of games in stock, Unbeatable trade-in prices, Stills sells retro consoles and games
Disadvantages: Not much trade in price if trading PC games
When I saw this open in my area, I was pleased that another gaming shop is there to rival once known as Electronics Boutique (now known as GAME).
If you are thinking of trading your old games that you got bored of playing, didn't like or ones that you have completed, then go to Gamestation as they do a great trade in for you.
I remember when my brother traded in a GameCube and 12 games for a silver PS2. I was astonished on how much he got for this - Wait for it...... - £230!! WOW! Now that is a great trade in price. Since then, me and my brother have been trading games in only at Gamestation. GAME wouldn't even give a better trade in price of that if my brother took it there.
In the shop, Gamestation offer a great range of games, whatever your console is. They do new and preowned games. If you are tight on your money, it's always better to go for the preowned games as these are cheaper than brand new ones.
Gamestation also still sells retro games, but only preowned. At the moment, they are looking for anyone that has retro consoles and is looking to sell them to hand them in. The trade in price for these are good. I traded a MegaDrive which I got around £15 for it and a while back, took my old PS1 in and got it for around £25. It may have gone down for the trade in price for the PS1 though since it was a while since I traded it in. I found that Gamestation still takes in Megadrives, SNES, NES, N64, Saturns, Master Systems and possibly other retro consoles.
I found out if anyone that owns a Virtual Boy, will be in for a surprise if they think of trading it in. You will get an amazing trade in price around £70 or £50 cash - they selling pre-owned ones for around £100!!
The only thing that I found was not good was that they don't do much of a great trade in for PC games.
Gamestation has in stock Xbox, Gamecube, PS1, PS2 and PC games as new. You can pre-order new games being released in the near future for only a small fee, which is good because you are always guaranteed a copy of the game this way before it all sells out and then having to wait for a while until it is in stock again.
The staff you find at the stores are very helpful, informative and friendly and that is always a good thing about coming to Gamestation. They can also possibly get in touch with you if a game you want has arrived which is not in stock at their store. They have techincal support too which always helps if your console is not working as you can get a refund or change for a replacement if you buy a console from them. That means the service you get is excellent.
So, if you are looking for a place to sell games, buy games for a cheap price or even to ask when a game is out or in stock, always come to Gamestation. I certainly recommend it to all gamers out there.
